What a Cute Little... Umm... Uhhh...
Puggle? That's kind of the fake name for baby platypi. The echidna (e-KID-na), the animal most like the platypus has the same young name. Puggle is definitely not the official name for young platypuses. There really is no official name for platypuses, but you can call them puggles.
Plural Platypus
Many people believe the way to say more than one platypus is platypi. I think it's platypuses. But technically both ways are correct. The plural of octopus is octopi but the computer I'm typing on puts a red line (means spelled incorrectly) under platypi and not platypuses. but the dictionary says both ways are right. So I go by Mr. Dictionary.

Cute yet Deadly!

As you must know by now, platypuses are the cutest animal on earth! Even if they're adorable they are venomous. The venom spur in their left hind leg is rarely used offensively, only for fighting for females in male-to-male combat at mating season. It still is dangerous though, it could kill a small dog in a minute.

How to Make a Paper Bag Platypus.
I'm now going to tell you how to make a paper bag platypus. If your obssesed with platypuses like I am, you'll surely like this!
-WHAT YOU NEED-
-Paper Bag
-Polyester Stuffing
-Brown Constructoin Paper
-Glue and/or Stapels
-Scissors
-Googley Eyes
-Black Sharpie
-WHAT YOU DO-
1. Open up the paper bag then stuff it with about five handfulls of polyester stuffing then stapel or glue the end shut (I prefer stapel for this part).
2. With your Sharpie draw a platypus tail, four platypus feet and a platypus bill on your constructoin paper.Cut them out with your scissors then glue them on to the paper bag(you can make two black dots on the bill if you want).
3. Glue the eyes on and you have a Paper Bag Platypus!

What a Weird Animal!

I think platypuses are the most interesting animal in the world. They have a ducks bill and feet, fur like a mammal, they swim under water, live in Australia and they're venomous! Talk about crazy! The first person to see a platypus thought some one had glued different parts of other animals together. Scientists found out later that the platypus is real, they even later classified it as mammal. Platypuses live in eastern Australia and Tasmania in small streams and ponds. At mateing season males produce venom spurs on thier left hind leg, they use to fight for females in male-to-male combat. Platypuses are distant relitives to cats which is interesting because cats don't like water and playpuses can hardly live without water. Everthing is interesting about platypuses though! That's why I'm totally obsessed with
them!
